We entered our 2001 Niagara and Riesling in an amateur wine competition and won a couple of gold medals. So the next year, we made more. By 2004, we were up to around 150 gallons of several different varietals and we started to experiment with various yeasts and styles. We continued to have success at wine competitions and in 2005, our Riesling won a bronze medal at the National AWS competition and took 2nd place Best of Show at the Taste of Little Italy Wine Contest.
